ABOUT THE JOB
At FABRICations you will be part of a young and energetic team. You will participate in challenging design and research projects on different scales, all over the world, relating to strategic planning, landscape design and spatial research. Our informal, creative and inspiring atmosphere contributes to the creation of cutting-edge (landscape) architecture and urbanism. Driven by sustainability, and through strategic collaborations, the office is working on a wide range of exciting, progressive projects such as; a climate adaptive, sponge-city strategy for Semarang, a sustainability masterplan for Bajes Kwartier in Amsterdam, a design of a vertical park in a former prison tower, an exploration of spatial consequences of different water strategies for the Water Board of Rijnland, and together with experts and government agencies we are partaking in a strategic visioning process of the future of the Netherlands under different climate scenarios. Within the scope of these projects, we expect you to have a hands-on mentality, work independently, and to have an open mind. We believe that, even though you have graduated, you never stop learning, and therefore we encourage personal and professional growth. On a regular basis we organize lunch lectures, FABRICations nights and excursions. During the pandemic, we noticed the importance of a right balance between working remotely, staying connected and being able to meet in real life. The physical office is located in a prime location close to Amsterdam Central, right on the canals. When we are all in the office together, we weave activities and fun breaks into the workday, whether that is a team lunch, a quick game of basketball, a walk through the neighborhood, or a swim in the canals.
