The toolbox ‘Design after use’, developed by a team from the City of Amsterdam with support of Bas Driessen from FABRICations, was awarded with the first prize at the Tour de Force Innovation award 2017.
Amsterdam, like many Dutch cities, needs to accommodate an increasing daily flow of cyclists. The toolbox gives more space to cyclists by making fit-to-measure adjustments in the cycling infrastructure following a three-step strategy.
The strategy is shared online, to enable other cities to learn and apply the ideas. For more information, see the toolbox’s storytelling website here or download the toolbox document here (in Dutch only).
